Travel Assistance

THE LOCAL ORGANISERS HAVE ANNOUNCED ALL AWARD DECISIONS. IF YOU HAVE NOT RECEIVED YOUR DECISION E-MAIL, PLEASE CONTACT US AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. IF WE COME UP WITH ANY FURTHER FUNDS, WE WILL INCREASE THE AWARDS TO EXISTING APPLICANTS. WE ARE NOT ABLE TO ACCEPT NEW REQUESTS. WE LEAVE THE PREVIOUS INFORMATION ON THIS PAGE BELOW FOR REFERENCE.

The local organisers have a very limited amount of funds to assist with conference costs. As the UK government has required up to 40% budget cuts across the education and various government sectors, we are unlikely to be offer more than token assistance.

The International Association for Time Use Research offers Andrew Harvey Fellowships, which this year will pay for registration costs and IATUR dues. These fellowships also are limited.

Travel support is only available if you have an accepted abstract and join IATUR as a member. We are not able to offer funding to people who are only attending the conference.

To maximise participation in the conference, we will give preference to students and people from developing and transition economies, as well as to people from other circumstances of greater need. We also will preference funding people from many countries as opposed to many people from the same country. In accordance with IATUR Andrew Harvey Fellowship rules, we also preference people who have not previously received travel support to attend and IATUR conference.

Any person who would otherwise have difficulty attending the conference without support is welcome to apply. We will do our best to offer something to as many people are we can, but we are not in a position to pay for full costs for any participant.

All applicants should look into alternative options to supplement their travel costs.

To apply for assistance, please send an e-mail to Sarah Forrest at sarah.forrest@sociology.ox.ac.uk in which you specify:
