Regional Highlights Tours

Sunday 31 July 2011 and Thursday 4 August 2011, leaving the Oxford Playhouse on Beaumont Street in central Oxford at 8:30 am and returning around 19:30pm.

We have hired vehicles to take delegates on day-long regional tours to Bath and Cheddar Gorge. Both days, the buses will visit both locations.

  • Bath
  • Cheddar Caves, Cheese Factories and Gorge

    • The tours will cost £40 per person for either day, and include entrance to the Roman Baths and the Cheddar Gorge caves. Lunch is not included. To purchase these tours, please email sarah.forrest@sociology.ox.ac.uk to register interest, and then proceed to payment at the online store here. You may also pay for these tours in cash at the conference, but you must register by Monday 25 July to secure your place.

    Here is the tour schedule:
    Leave 8:30am from the Oxford Playhouse, coach to Bath for a 10:30am arrival
    Leave Bath 2:00pm, coach to Cheddar Gorge for a 3:00pm arrival
    Leave Cheddar Gorge at 5:30pm, coach return to Oxford Playhouse around 7:30pm
